English Language Development

Welcome to Sierra Linda High School’s English acquisition program. We aim to help students develop English language skills using Structured English Immersion (SEI) methodologies. It is our hope that English learners successfully pass the Arizona English Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA) so that they can function in all English academic environments and achieve their goals of graduating high school and pursuing higher education. Currently, Sierra Linda offers the following levels of English Language Development (ELD): level 1-pre-emergent/emergent and level 2-basic/intermediate.
