Performing/Visual Arts

At Sierra Linda High School, we believe that arts education is vital to every child’s education. Arts education courses are also a central part of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) program. Like core subjects such as math and science, art education courses consist of rigorous content and can stimulate a child’s intellectual development. Art encourages children to engage in activities that can promote self-esteem, self-discipline, and self-motivation. Those who participate in art activities gain a better understanding of the human experience through social interaction. We encourage our students to explore different elective opportunities.
